The city theater of Bielefeld, known for its series of contemporary opera, succeeded once again by bringing out from their solid house ensemble a very promising Margaret Thompson singing the title role in the German premiere of "Esmée". Her voice exuded a silvery shimmer, stupendous reliability and moving warmth both vocally and interpretively in every scene.

The attractive Margaret Thompson stood as the central figure in this German premiere of "Esmée". Using the psychological functions of the role to her advantage, she brought forth naivete´ refinement and showed lustrous ease within a wide palette of colors.
